A New Artist and a New Chapter for ARTEEST

Everyone give a rousing welcome to new artist on the strip, Mark Topolski! I’ve known Mark for a few years since he was one of the regulars over at our Afterburn Media forum and got to meet him with several of the other regulars at Wizard World Chicago a few years ago.

Our posting schedule may not be as frequent as before with Mark working the strip into his busy worklife, but he’s here and he’s drawing more!

My Arteest Webcomic: “Shorts” Project

My old friend Steve Stegelin, who used to do a comic I loved called Boondoggle, has inspired me immensely by being open to guesting on Arteest. As you know, my brain works all the time (and I don’t always “listen”, I know) and somewhere during my day I made a mental note to touch base with Steve…then I started thinking about doing “shorts”, extra chapters/scenes for Arteest. And Steve is up for it which is cool because I love the guest strips he did for Clay’s Way. So, NOW I’m thinking of doing MORE…in strips, or possibly in half-page format or even in comic page form….see?? My mind’s on fire now. Thanks for inspiring me, Steve.

Hm, some of the stories will involve Dexter’s mom and some will be about the people who get sketched by Dexter and how they are affected/portrayed in some way.

So, if you’re interested in guesting on one of these short chapters, etc., lmk. Robin (Ator) drew in Flash for the first arc and I think Mark (Topolski)”s going old school, I think. This could get interesting…and fun.

That’s right, another potential artist for the Arteest webcomic has reluctantly had to back out because of his personal and work schedule. Add in the upcoming holiday season…and needing to make some money….

Sigh…

I’ve considered doing it myself but I know what it’s like to have all those scheduling conflicts..I have too many irons of my own in the fire as it is.

So, if you’re interested in drawing Arteest or know someone who might be up it, send them around. Share this link wherever you can…help me put the word out. I have the next several chapters written…
